Joseph Burgis & Associates was named the new planner.

The minutes of the December 6, 2023, meeting were approved.

Mayor Ron Kistner and his alternate, Councilwoman Sue McGuire sat on the dais, with Kistner voting on matters as appropriate.

There was a motion brought to the board by former Mayor William Torre on behalf of his client, John Batista, to amend the resolution for 163-167 Kipp Avenue (the Kathy Dunn site) to remove the requirement that electric service be brought to the building underground.

Torre noted he had submitted a letter from the PSEG Engineer for the Palisades Region that stated that the power lines should be above ground. Doobelaar noted that he had worked with the engineer in the past, spoke with him about the matter, and concurred. The resolution passed.

A new application by Quality Home Developers LLC to subdivide the property at 258 Division into three conforming lots was brought to the Board. Quality Home Developers noted that this was an oversize lot, and that the request complied with Borough guidelines. When asked about the houses to be built, it was stated that the plans had not even been drawn up yet but that all the homes were to be within the Borough regulations, with no variances being anticipated.

After being notified of a Borough regulation that prohibits the houses from looking like each other, and a condition that the homes would have a 35-foot offset from the street to be in character with the rest of the neighborhood, the resolution was passed.
