It can be hard to hear for some, but getting older is just part of life. For many men, hitting a certain age signifies the beginning of a new chapter - where bucket list items are crossed off, and goals are accomplished. For others, however, aging is a scary prospect, filled with nagging injuries, embarrassing weight gain, and inability to perform intimately. Few things feel worse than realizing that you simply can't perform as you used to, whether on the basketball court or in the bedroom.
The reality is, as men get older and approach middle age, their testosterone levels drop. When a male's testosterone levels get lower, it can cause a slew of unwanted symptoms like:
If you have noticed any of the above symptoms and feel like you're just dragging yourself through life, don't lose hope. Many men around the country are experiencing the same feelings as you. Thankfully, you don't have to settle for the side effects of low testosterone. There are proven, easy steps that you can take to reverse the negative signs of aging. If you're ready to reclaim your youth and feel like you did in your 20s and 30s, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) may be the perfect solution.
TRT bridges the gap between your old life and the happier, more vibrant version of you. testosterone levels. Unfortunately, when a man loses too much testosterone, it results in a condition called hypogonadism. Also called "Low T," testosterone loss due to hypogonadism must be replenished, or the male suffers from difficult, even debilitating symptoms.
We Work With
What pops up in your head when you think about testosterone? Many people associate testosterone with being overly aggressive, macho, and violent. However, the truth is that testosterone is a critical hormone for men and affects the male lifespan from puberty through old age. As a sex hormone, male testosterone is produced through the testicles. It becomes most prevalent during puberty.
Testosterone production is controlled by the pituitary gland at the base of a man's brain. This gland sends signals to the testes, which in turn produce testosterone. A feedback loop helps regulate the amount of testosterone in the blood. When levels are too high, the brain orders the pituitary gland to restrict production.
Cholesterol synthesizes the testosterone in your body. However, having high cholesterol doesn't mean you have high testosterone levels, too. T levels are too carefully controlled by your pituitary gland for cholesterol to raise testosterone levels.
During puberty, testosterone helps males develop:
Testosterone replacement is exactly what its name implies. It's a therapy for men that replaces diminished testosterone levels, which helps balance your hormones and ultimately improves your life. Also called androgen replacement therapy, TRT alleviates many of the side effects that men suffer from as a result of low testosterone.
Testosterone was originally synthesized in a lab in 1935. Its popularity has grown since, and today, it is among the most promising doctor-prescribed treatments for men in the United States.
So, how does testosterone replacement therapy work? TRT essentially gives you the testosterone needed to be healthy and have a properly functioning body. As the primary androgen for males, testosterone has a role in the natural processes your body needs for overall health. This extra hormonal intake positively affects patients and their general health, preventing diseases such as osteoporosis, cardiac diseases, and more.
Though there is an abundance of testosterone in your system throughout puberty and into your 20s, it gradually depletes with age. Sometimes, serious injuries and long-term conditions like diabetes affect testosterone levels. Unfortunately, when a man loses too much testosterone, it results in a condition called hypogonadism. Also called "Low T," testosterone loss due to hypogonadism must be replenished, or the male suffers from difficult, even debilitating symptoms.
Though some symptoms of low T are abundantly evident, not all men can immediately tell they may need TRT. If you're unsure, ask yourself these questions:
If you answered yes to any of those questions, it could be time to contact Juventee about a personalized TRT plan. Still unsure if you're experiencing symptoms of low T? We have compiled a more extensive list of signs below:
Low energy used to be considered a normal part of aging. Today, most doctors know better. Modern advances in medicine show that lack of energy and low T often go hand-in-hand.
If it's a huge struggle to keep up with your kids on the soccer field, or you just don't have the energy to be active, you may have low testosterone. Getting tired is normal, but if it's an ongoing problem affecting you and your family, it's time to consult a doctor.
Whether you're having a tough time getting through your day or can't finish normal activities, TRT in Weehawken, NJ could be the solution.
You would think that lowered libido would be easy to pick up on, but when it happens gradually, it can be more difficult to diagnose. With that said, many men use TRT because they've lost that "spark" in the bedroom. It's not easy for a man to hear that they're not pleasing their partner because intimacy is an important part of a relationship.
The good news? Having a low libido doesn't have to be permanent. TRT treatments can help revert hormone levels to their normal range, making for a more enjoyable sex life.
If you're like millions of other men, hair loss is an unfortunate reality you don't want to think about. Closely related to hormone imbalances and testosterone decline, hair loss is about as distressing as it gets. This common symptom is often related to DHT - a derivative of testosterone that can cause hair follicles to die.
Thankfully, a carefully monitored TRT regimen can help restore hair, especially when combined with methods like plasma-rich therapy. While it's true that you can't change your genes, you can change the effects of low testosterone in your body, so hair loss isn't your only reality.
Weak erections - it's an uncomfortable subject for men to talk about. It's even worse to experience the symptom in the heat of the moment. Despite being very common, men shame themselves when they can't achieve an erection. And while there are many reasons for this malady, low testosterone is often a contributing factor.
Fortunately, you don't have to live with weak erections forever when you balance your hormones with a personalized TRT treatment plan from Juventee.
You're feeling down about everything and can't figure out why you feel crummy about life. You're successful at work but feel unaccomplished. If you're experiencing symptoms like these, you may be depressed - and it could be stemming from low testosterone.
Studies show that men with depression and high cortisol levels also commonly have low testosterone. Because higher cortisol levels can lead to low T, the chances of severe depression increase.
Depression is a very real disorder and should always be diagnosed and treated by your doctor. One treatment option, when used in conjunction with therapy, is TRT. When TRT is used to replenish hormone levels, men enjoy a lighter, more optimistic mood. That's great news for depressed men who have had little-to-no success with powerful anti-depression meds.
Experts have found that men who lose a week's worth of sleep may experience a drop in testosterone by as much as 15%. These findings are alarming and may suggest that sleep loss lowers T levels and affects wellbeing.
If you find yourself exhausted at the end of the day but toss and turn all night long, it could be time to have your testosterone levels checked. TRT may restore your testosterone levels which can help you sleep better with proper exercise and diet.
Are you struggling to lift weights in the gym or find that you can't pick up items that used to be easy to lift? Studies show that inactive men can lose .5% of muscle strength each year after the age of 25. When you hit 60, muscle loss doubles every ten years. While muscle loss is common with age, it can also be linked to low T.
Testosterone is a crucial piece needed for building and retaining muscle mass. That's why many doctors are prescribing TRT for males experiencing sharp declines in strength and muscle mass. Whether your workouts are losing steam or you're having problems lifting items that aren't very heavy, don't blame it all on age. You could be suffering from hypogonadism.
Nobody likes to gain weight, even though our society is more accepting of overweight people than ever before. Despite diets and carb cutting, many men aren't able to get rid of excess belly and body fat, increasing the chances of heart disease and cancer.
Sometimes, male weight gain isn't caused by sweets and carbs but by hormone imbalances that slow the metabolism. This phase of life is called andropause and occurs when testosterone levels are low. Combining a low metabolism with other symptoms like high cortisol levels can be a recipe for a double-chinned disaster. Fortunately, TRT treatments and physician-led weight loss programs can correct hormone imbalances and lead to healthy weight loss for men.
The enlargement of male breast tissue, also called "man boobs," is a fairly common condition that many men have. Though it is closely associated with diet and other life choices, increased fatty tissue is often caused by hormonal imbalances.
If you're approaching middle age and you're embarrassed by having large breasts, don't lose hope. TRT is a safe, effective way to eliminate the underlying cause of gynecomastia without invasive surgery. With a custom HRT and fitness program, you can bring your testosterone and estrogen levels back to normal before you know it.
The human body is amazing in so many ways. Still, we have to optimize it every now and then using science, medicine, and hard work. After 40, you may notice that your body is changing, but symptoms like low libido and lack of motivation don't have to be permanent. A class-action lawsuit by a group of tenants at a Weehawken luxury apartment complex over security is moving forward after an appellate court panel affirmed an earlier ruling that the agreement to waive such suits was unenforceable.
The panel rejected the argument by Hamilton Cove’s owner, Hartz Mountain Industries, that the lawsuit, which stemmed from a claim made to prospective renters that there was around-the-clock security, should be dismissed because the tenants’ lease includes a clause that waive their right to file or take part in a class-action lawsuit against the property.
The lawsuit was brought by William Pace and Robert Walters on March 31, 2022, and it says Hamilton Cove’s advertising claim of providing “elevated, 24/7 security” at its three buildings was false. The suit was filed by the Costello and Mains law firm, and handled by Lauren Bess and Miriam S. Edelstein.
After moving into the 573-unit complex on the Hudson River waterfront, Pace and Walters found in June 2020 that the apartments’ security cameras were broken and that in at least one building, a front desk greeter/mailroom attendant was stationed at the front of the building just six hours a day on weekdays (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) and less time on weekends.
By February 2022, the front desk greeter’s weekday hours were extended to 9 p.m., with more consistent staffing on weekends, but the building never provided the “24/7″ security as promised, the lawsuit said. In a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, Hamilton Cove argued that the tenants were allowed to file lawsuits individually, but in their lease agreements they waived any right to file or participate in class action.
In the 16-page appellate court ruling released Wednesday the panel said the waiver could not be enforced because the tenants had not been offered arbitration.
“Considering our longstanding, fundamental public policy favoring class actions, we hold there is no societal interest in enforcing a class action waiver in a contract that does not contain a mandatory arbitration provision and conclude that the class action waivers in this case are unenforceable as a matter of law and public policy,” the ruling said.
The lawsuit asks for unspecified compensatory and punitive damages, the installation of working cameras and around-the-clock security as initially promised, and for the management to refrain from advertising amenities and services that are not delivered. In the event the 24/7 security and working security cameras are not in place at the time of the court order, the lawsuit ask for a reduction in rent to compensate tenants.

WEEHAWKEN – Even through the smoky haze, it was clear Cedar Grove was a little bit better.
The Panthers rode 14 strikeouts from Cayce Kavakich and a key inside-the-park homer from Gabriella Florre to down Weehawken, 3-1, Tuesday in the Group 1 softball semifinals.
For Weehawken, it was the end to an historic season in which they won league, county and sectional title in the same year for the first time.
“Throughout the season, we have made history, and it’s because of every girl on this team,” Weehawken coach Raquel Roder said. “It was a team effort and they literally have nothing to be upset about. They played excellent the whole season.”
The Panthers (26-3) got revenge on the Indians after losing to them in the 2022 sectional final. They advance to the Group 1 final against the winner of New Egypt and Clayton on Saturday.
Weehawken’s loss means the end of the North Jersey softball season. The Indians were the only team from the area to win a section and will be contenders again with just about every starter back, including standout junior pitcher Savanna McHale.
“Probably right now,” Roder said laughing when asked when she starts planning for next year. “I think we need to take a second and reflect on how far we have come. Realistically, we have 4-5 girls who have been playing for a long time. The rest of my girls have come up from JV or never played before. We have a really young team, so it’s a good thing for us.”
Weehawken took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Envey Duran scoring Kat Thompson who was hit by a pitch and then moved to second on a wild pitch.
Cedar Grove answered with a sac fly by Daniella D’Angelo in the second and took the lead on a two-out inside-the-park home run by leadoff batter Gabriella Florre, who sliced a ball just down the left field line past a diving Bella Veras.
“You hear all these things, keep these girls off the bases,” said Roder. “I don’t blame the umpires, but it was a very tight strike zone, and if you let one hang [over the plate] and a ball gets put in play like that in a tough spot that rolls [away]. What are you going to do?”
Florre scored standing up and Kavakich did the rest, limiting Weehawken to two hits and striking out the side in the seventh. Ava Oeckel added an RBI single for Cedar Grove in the fifth.
As the game wore on clouds and smoke from the Canadian wildfires gave the field a distinct haze and made it difficult to see the New York City skyline.
“They have nothing to hang their heads about,” Roder said. “Everyone was telling us it would be a blowout and the fact that we scored early and held them off and gave them a game, we did a really good job. Now we prepare for next year. We want to get to this spot again.”

This might be a chain restaurant, but the views are one of a kind. Located just South of Edgewater in nearby Weehawken, this riverfront restaurant is located right near the Lincoln Harbor ferry terminal. There are delicious cocktails (The Hoboken Girl recommends the Butterfly Effect), and there are even tasty mocktails on the menu. There are no bad menu items, but the swordfish with blue cheese butter is amazing. Open Table even named this place one of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the U.S.

Complete with indoor and outdoor dining, Pier 115 feels like a little oasis in Edgewater. The menu ranges from wood-fired pizzas to sushi, and it’s all delicious. Getting here might be a bit confusing, but just keep walking to the water, and when you get there, keep going. The entrance is closer to the end of the piece at the end of the open-air parking garage. The beer list is extensive, as are the TVs filled with different sports games. On the weekends this place is open late, until midnight.
Just off Port Imperial Boulevard, Son Cubano boasts an impressive Cuban menu with live music. The views here are epic (you can see all the way to the Statue of Liberty), but the interior is also just as lovely. During the warmer months, make sure to sit outside if you can (though it is heated all year round). This trendy place has a great menu, especially for brunch. The breakfast tacos are to die for, and on Sunday there is a whole lobster feast with a, well, lobster-filled menu.

HOBOKEN, NJ — As temperatures soar into the 80s in Hoboken — and are expected to reach 90 this coming week — Hoboken offered updates on the future of pool development and announced pool hours to come at Hoboken High School.
Those hoping to swim at a public pool this weekend will have to head to another Hudson County town. But the closest out-of-town pool, a mile away in Weehawken, offers only season passes for Hoboken residents while continuing to buck a state requirement to offer day passes as well, for occasional use.
The state provided $4 million in Green Acres funding for the pool complex, meaning the town has to open it to all New Jersey residents. According to DEP rules, if the pool sells season passes, it must also offer day passes for those who want to visit only occasionally.
Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner recently told NJ.com that the majority of out-of-town pool visitors come from Hoboken, but that he's not fond of the day pass idea.
"The problem with DEP is first of all, they’ve never had to run a pool that’s as popular as this one and secondly, they’re not flexible enough to allow us to experiment,” Turner said.
Last week, Councilman Phil Cohen, in his newsletter, listed the hours and season pass rates for the Weehawken pool.
"I have discussed these issues with Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner and am pleased that Hoboken’s residents have this opportunity to enjoy this Hudson River waterfront pool complex this summer," he said. When asked which "issues" he discussed and whether he discussed the day pass issue, he didn't respond.
Patch also reached out to the city on Wednesday night to find out when pool hours would be announced for Hoboken High School, and if low-cost swim lessons would be offered this year.
Patch received no reply, but the next day, the pool hours were announced.

A Pool To Come, And Hoboken High School Pool Hours
The city announced Thursday that a new pool complex will be built at the Hoboken Multi-Service center at 124 Grand St. (This is separate from the announcement about the 800 Monroe St.complex and potential pool there last month.)
The city is seeking feedback to help choose one of three plans, all of which have a pool. Get the plan details here.
You can fill out the survey through July 14 here.
Meanwhile, the city noted on Thursday that there will be more hours for the community at the Hoboken High School pool this summer than last summer. Signups for a slot begin this coming Monday, July 3.
Here are the details from the city's announcement:
The Hoboken High School indoor pool will be open to residents this July and August through a partnership between the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Board of Education.
From July 10 through July 27, the pool, located at 800 Clinton St., will be open Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
From July 31 through August 10, the pool will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants must first register to utilize the pool at Hoboken.RecDesk.com. Registration will open on Monday, July 3, at 9 a.m.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a waiver from their parent or legal guardian to use the pool without an adult present.
The pool capacity is capped at 20 swimmers, and access will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. A lifeguard will be on duty during all open hours.
Background
Weehawken Town Administrator Gio Ahmad told Patch last month that for summer 2023, the Weehawken pool would be open to all New Jersey residents for free through June 23. But the town's subsequent announcement of a season pass-only system received some criticism from some Hoboken residents as well as some in Weehawken.
Last year, when Hoboken residents were finally allowed into the Weehawken pool for mornings in August, several city officials thanked each other as well as Weehawken's mayor, which drew some jeers.
If Weehawken did not open it to non-residents they would lose Green Acre funds. Weehawken had to do this to get their $4mil. — Paul Presinzano 1st Ward City Council Candidate (@presinzano4hob1) August 4, 2022
Earlier this month, Hoboken spokesperson Marilyn Baer said, "The administration has reached out to Weehawken to ensure residents have access to the pool and will continue to advocate on behalf of residents. The City continues to partner with Stevens Institute if Technology to ensure residents can access their pool year-round through several membership options."
